South King Fire & Rescue Community Affairs Office has created a video to inform the community on COVID-19 responses, including the men and women responding to these emergencies.

Effective immediately all South King Fire & Rescue personnel are required to wear face-covering while on duty. This policy change is in response to recent CDC and IAFF recommendations that indicate that the use of face coverings can help in settings where social distancing is difficult to maintain. The face-covering must be worn while in public, in the common areas of the station, in apparatus and staff vehicles when riding with coworkers, or anytime that it would be difficult or impossible to maintain the approved social distancing practice of six feet.

It is time for the 6th annual 7th District New Fire Fighters Conference to be held in Kennewick, Washington and the date is fast approaching.  The event is scheduled for May 14-16.  The event  promises to share knowledge of the IAFF, 7th District, State Associations, Politics, Health & Safety and the big picture of Labor and its role in leveling the playing field for those that trade their sweat and education for a wage.  Premium speakers will get new members motivated to give back to the Union that has provided so much to them and US.
